The Iloilo Provincial Police Office (IPPO) said Police Officer 3 Hildo Sullivan, Police Officer 3 Francisco Gabiano, and PO1 Jonathan Limas were on their way back to Janiuay police station on board a police patrol car at about 10:45 p.m. when they were shot by the suspects in Brgy. Survey says majority of Pinoys approve of Villar’s work as Senate President |

More than 60 percent of almost 90 million Filipinos expressed their approval of Senate President Manny Villar and gave him the highest performance rating among the top officials of the land, according to the Pulse Asia survey.
The latest survey from pollster Pulse Asia was conducted February 21 to March 8, 2008 with 1,200 respondents culled nationwide. |

Cuevas: PDEA’s ‘power’ slows down war on drugs |

By Niña Jane A. Souribio If there is a declining number of operations initiated by cops to crackdown drug traffickers, blame it to the convoluted control of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) over police campaign on drugs, Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) Director Isagani Cuevas said.
